The St. Andrews Heights Community Association along with our many generous partners and volunteers officially opened our playground on October 21, 2006. Many thanks to Sherri Fraser for leading this effort on behalf on the Community Association.
Our playground is located in the city-owned park next to Chief Crowfoot School. The rest of the park is also free to use (and can be booked).

2026 will mark 20 years since our Community Playground was first built. The surface and equipment are now reaching their end-of-life and a major upgrade is being planned for the summer of 2027. The St. Andrews Heights Community Association (SAHCA) will be working in partnership with the Maria Montessori Education Centre at Chief Crowfoot School (MMEC), the Parks Foundation and the City of Calgary over the next several months to develop design and funding plans for the new playground.
In February 2026, a Playground Engagement Survey was circulated to SAHCA residents and parents of the MMEC to help guide our playground design. We are pleased to share the results of that survey:
