St. Andrews Heights Community Soccer Program

Come out and join us! The SAHCA Soccer program is a great way to learn basic soccer skills through fun drills, practice and games. It is also a wonderful opportunity to engage with other families within the community.

Tim Hortons Timbits Sports Program is once again sponsoring our 2025 soccer program:

The Tim Hortons Timbits Sports Program is a community-oriented program that provides opportunities for kids aged four to eight to play house league hockey and soccer. The philosophy of the program is not based on winning or losing, but on learning a new sport, making new friends and just being a kid.

Tim Hortons provides jerseys, along with participation medals and other items, to Timbits players in local hockey and soccer associations across the country. Last year alone, more than 300,000 boys and girls were proudly supported through Timbits Sports.

For 2025 we are anticipating running 3 different in-community leagues:

Note that all families registering their children for SAHCA soccer must have a current St. Andrews Heights Community Association membership. Membership is a liability insurance coverage requirement for community association sports activities. See the Membership page for more information.

U10 & Up – If you are looking for a community soccer league please contact the University Heights Community Association (www.uhcacalgary.org/community/soccer). Players who are members of the SAHCA are entitled to play on the University Heights teams without having to buy a University Heights Community Association membership. Please email soccer@standrewsheights.ca if you are interested, to bypass the membership fees.

Schedule

All teams (U4, U6 and U8) will play on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm starting on mid April and ending mid June (weather permitting).

All games are on the playing fields at Chief Crowfoot school. There are no scheduled games played outside of St. Andrews Heights.

Coaches Required

Volunteers make it happen!

The SAHCA soccer program needs coaches and assistant coaches, so please indicate at the time of registration if you're able to volunteer. Please note that you will need to go through a police background check (costs covered by the SAHCA) to be a volunteer coach or assistant coach. Coaching clinics will be available to volunteers but are not a requirement to coach.

*SAHCA Parents - Do you have teenagers at home who have soccer experience and would be interested in coaching? Coaching experience is a great addition to young resumes, a way to give back to the community and an opportunity to be a positive role model. Please reach out if interested.

If you have any questions or require any further information regarding soccer registration please contact the SAHCA Soccer Coordinator, Brooke Coburn, at soccer@standrewheights.ca
