Living in the City, we tend not to think much about wildlife - even when they are living quite close.
One of our neighbours on Windsor (near the Hall) recently had a moose and deer in her back yard. Coyotes have also been on the stroll.
While walking the crescent tonight, I had a runin with a reindeer. It was unexpected and shocking.
Fortunately, even in my panic, I managed to get a photo. Do not be mislead by the fact the reindeer is showing the ‘peace sign.’ They can knock you completely off course. I could have ended up in University District! Or Parkdale! Maybe even Bowness.
I am hoping we can count on some deliveries from Santa (and all the other reindeer) over the next few days. I have been a very good girl.
Oh, I just remembered! The Windsor neighbour told me we can all pick up a pot of dill from her property (corner of Windsor and 13th). Yes, she is serious. Now that’s a reindeer dream. (Please only one pot per household.)
What a kind neighbour. I think she will go down in history!
