|| = || __ DOG GONE IT
One of our neighbours captured a photo of this dog running around on the corner of 13th Avenue and St Andrews Place. It looks like it needed to take a pee (notice the portable toilet). More concerning is that it did not have an owner on a leash (or anywhere nearby). All dog owners MUST BE on a leash.
We are not sure if it is the same dog as was recently reported - but if this is your dog, you might want to get out and have a look. If it is not your dog, but you see it running around, the following is the recommendation of the City of Calgary:
Assess the Situation: Do not chase the dog, as it could run into traffic or become scared. If it is safe and the dog is friendly, use a calm, gentle voice and coax it to you.
Check for Identification: If you are able to safely approach and leash the dog, check its collar for a license tag or identification.
Contact 311: Dial 311 from within Calgary (or 403-268-2489 outside the city limits) to report the loose dog. Bylaw services will be dispatched to pick up the animal.
