Several of our neighbours have had their Forever Canadian signs disappear. This is what one of the neightbours shared with the community association:
“Good day,
Four houses on 11th Avenue had their "forever Canadian" signs stolen.
I appreciate that people have different views, however, this is a bit much!
You might want to consider letting folks know so that they can position their signs in a way that is a little harder to steal, perhaps closer to the house?
And if anyone has captured footage of the thieves, it would be helpful for them to share that with the police. I realise that this is an insignificant theft, still...”
We hope that those who have differing beliefs understand that one of the benefits of our beautiful country / province / city and neighbourhood … is that we live in a democracy. This means we can all rightfully share what we believe about staying (or not staying) in Canada. Part of that is giving others the same right.
Meanwhile … we wish those who appreciate this country a … Happy Canada Day! For everyone else we wish a Happy July 1st!
