|| = || __ SPEED WATCH
The Community Association and the MMEC school continue to monitor speeding near the playground. MMEC has arranged a Community Speed Watch Event Wednesday, May 13 at 11 AM.
The program provides citizens opportunity to engage with safety equipment such as radar guns and paddle signs for the one-hour duration of the Community Speed Watch. Members of the Mobility Safety team at the City of Calgary participate to observe real-time concerns expressed by citizens, and provide education and engineering judgement. The Calgary Police Service also attends to support the safety of the Community Speed Watch, share their own input, and provide enforcement, if necessary.
When it comes to immediate speeding concerns, dangerous driving, or enforcement, we kindly ask that you contact the Calgary Police Service directly as The City does not request enforcement on behalf of citizens. Enforcement lies within CPS jurisdiction. They can be contacted through the local community police station or via their non-emergency line (403-266-1234). You can also connect online at www.calgarypolice.ca using the “Report a traffic concern” option under the Compliments and Concerns section.
