Community Helpers Needed / Local Employment Opportunity
Are you wanting to lend a hand to neighbours who could use some extra support, while generating some income? We’re looking for responsible adults and teens in our community. Opportunities can include: babysitting, snow shovelling, lawn maintenance, house sitting, dog walking / pet sitting and more.
Whether you have a few hours a week or want to take on a more regular commitment, your time and skills can make a real difference. If you’re reliable, caring, and ready to help, we’d love to hear from you! We will make the list available to the community. Note: any hiring / reference checking and payment will be done by the interested residents.
Younger applicants (under 16) are welcome to apply but must be prepared to commit to the full winter season if interested in snow shovelling.

The SAH Community Association Building Connected Communities project and the local school (Marie Montessori Educational Centre) are gathering interest for a local holiday market. Do you have a home business or product you would like to sell (baking, art, knitting, local food production, etc)
Why: Create community and share your talents and gifts
Who: St. Andrews Heights community, MMEC and friends
How: Gather local and MMEC artisans in the MMEC gym for a Saturday afternoon market in early December.
Artisans can keep their profits, table cost is free if you are a member of St Andrews Heights Community Association or Marie Montessori Educational Centre.
