|| = || __ THANKSGIVING THANK YOU
The following is a beautiful (community related) thanksgiving story on Thanksgiving Day.
The newsletter editor took her snowblower to the Fix It Clinic on Saturday. Unfortunately, though they tried hard - and many other neighbours did get things fixed - they were not able to fix the snowblower.
Editor was then walking the snowblower home. She walked by two couples chatting on 13th Avenue. The neighbours asked what she was doing.
She said “Clearing snow - you don’t see how there is no snow left in the neighbourhood?” Then she explained she had been to the Fix It Clinic (without success).
One of the men asked if he could have the snowblower. Editor pointed out it was not working. He said he would like to have it anyway. So she gave him the snowblower. They also exchanged contact info. A few hours later, Good Neighbour texted Editor. “The snowblower is fixed. You can come pick it up.”
And thus, through the kindness of good neighbours, Editor got her snowblower fixed. Ten thousand stars to Daryl and wife Karen (who also helped).
And so, Editor celebrates Thanksgiving with thanksgiving. Thank you, thank you.
