The SAH Board receives a lot of content from various people and organizations. They say something is of value to our residents (and should be shared). Sometimes we share. Sometimes we don’t.
Sometimes we make a mistake.
Last Friday (September 12th), the eNews included content we have since learned isFalse Information. It was about events happening at Shouldice Commons (a seniors care facility). The events were (supposedly) open to the public to attend. The topics were personal directives and health decisions.
We have since learned that Shouldice Commons does not hold events for the general public. They do hold events for their own residents, including on these and other topics.
In addition, the contact number was very close to their actual phone number (but one digit off).
This suggests someone is working some sort of scam targeting seniors. Unfortunately, there are lot of those kinds of people out there.
Please do not contact them. Please do not try to attend.
