|| = || __ FMC CAMPUS
On behalf of Alberta Infrastructure (AI) and Alberta Health Services, please see the update below regarding the Calgary Radiopharmaceutical Centre (CRC) project at the Foothills Medical Centre campus.
On January 23, 2025, construction crews began site preparation for the project. The first stage of work will include:
Installing fencing around the site perimeter.
Closing the pedestrian walkway directly east of the former Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
Removal of some trees.
Demolition on an existing retention wall.
There has been positive dialogue between our team and both the SSASPG and the ACWG that will continue through the construction phase of this work.
We will issue a public notice to adjacent residents about this work next week. (Note: SAHCA will share updates as provided.)
AI continues to work with the City of Calgary on securing a development permit and acquiring the necessary approvals with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
