The following information is shared by the City of Calgary regarding the South Shaganappi Local Area Plan. As this is a legal matter between homeowners, the St Andrews Heights Community Association is not involved - however we have agreed to share the information with our residents (who may be affected).
The proposed South Shaganappi Communities Local Area Plan is now available online at engage.calgary.ca/Shaganappi/REALIZE. The proposed Plan will be brought forward to the Infrastructure and Planning Committee (IPC) for review and decision on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Proposed Plan Updates
The proposed South Shaganappi Communities Local Area Plan has been updated since the final draft version of the Plan was shared in fall 2024. The Summary of Proposed Plan Updates provides an overview of the edits that have been made to the proposed Plan.
Updates include:
the addition of an Executive Summary
a new core value illustration
mapping and clerical updates
new Chapter 3 illustrations
Share Your Thoughts with Committee
Anyone who is interested can participate in the public hearing of Committee and/or Council. You can submit your comments in writing, register to speak or watch online.
If you, or people you know, are interested in submitting comments or speaking at Committee, it may be helpful to visit calgary.ca/PublicHearing to learn more about the process and go over some tips for presenting or submitting comments.

Those wishing to participate in the public hearings can submit their comments or register to speak. Comments are due no later than 12:00 p.m. one week before the public hearing. Submissions prior to the agenda being posted should clearly state that the submission is for "The South Shaganappi Communities Local Area Plan":
