|| = || __ YOU TOLD US!
Thank you to everyone that participated in our year end survey!
We are pleased to come into 2025 with ideas to help bring our community together.
Our recent survey revealed strong community interest in both daytime and evening activities for adults, as well as evening and weekend events for families and children. We’re excited to explore these ideas and support the growth of our community!
If you have a program or group you’d like to bring to life in our neighborhood, we’d love to help make it happen. Some ideas already shared include:
● Urban Bike Skills Course for Kids
● Evening Events to Connect Neighbors: A few volunteers are interested in testing an adult book club. Stay tuned for more details in upcoming e-newsletters.
● Crime Prevention Discussions / Information Sessions: Interested in collaborating with Calgary Police Services to bring this to Saint Andrews Heights? Please contact us at engagement@standrewsheights.ca to discuss next steps.
Other ideas we’ve received include adult craft meetups, a community walking group, more holiday events, and organizing group volunteer projects. Moving forward, we are excited to help bring these ideas to life and create more opportunities for engagement.
While our board is made up of several dedicated individuals, we have limited availability to run events due to our own schedules. Therefore, we aim to empower other members of the community to lead or assist in developing groups and events at the times they find convenient.
In the near future, we’ll also be sending out calls for event volunteers through our e-newsletter and Facebook (including opportunities to help with the Neighbor Day BBQ, family events, and holiday celebrations).
It’s exciting to see so many residents sharing their ideas and offering to volunteer! Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and support. If you have more ideas or specific programs you'd like to see in our community, feel free to reach out at: events@standrewsheights.ca
