Howdy neighbours!
St. Andrews Hall has been the gathering place for the Bow Valley Calligraphy Guild (BVCG) for many years. We want you to know you are invited to get to know us, your neighbours, a little better at one of the monthly gatherings we host in the St. Andrews Hall.
Check the community calendar on the Hall website. Where it says “BVCG,” that’s us!
Please join us and discover what the lettering and paper arts part of this community is all about. It is September, a time of new beginnings – come and check out this long-time community asset.
Here are a few of the BVCG happenings to kickstart our calligraphic year:

BVCG in-person meeting - GALLERIA
During our in-person meetings the LIBRARY is open starting at 6:30 pm and throughout the evening. Only members can borrow books. Members and non-members are welcome to browse during the meeting.
Each in-person meeting we host SHOW & SHARE – an opportunity for everyone to bring their favourite discovery, question about a project, latest project, promo of art events in the community.
The GALLERIA theme for September 25 is “Song Title or Lyrics.”
Members will bring lettering projects based on the Galleria challenge and a conversation about lettering choices, tools, techniques, design principals, colour theory, inspiration — sometimes problem solving occurs.
It is a great way to experience design and lettering adventures as a participant or as an observer.
Refreshments are enjoyed and we have plenty of fun and often a door prize or two which members and non-members are eligible to win.
