|| = || __ YOUR CITY NEEDS YOUR HELP
Yeah, we’re all tired of this. But our City still needs our help to reduce water.
Your efforts add up. Every flush you skip, every minute less you spend in the shower and every load of laundry put on hold makes a huge difference.
Here is what the City shares:
Calgary is in Stage 4 Outdoor Water Restrictions, and we need all Calgarians to do their part to use less water while the Bearspaw South Feeder Main is out of service until late September for urgent repairs.
Here’s how to do your part:
> Don’t Use City Water Outdoors. If you have an automatic sprinkler, check that it is shut off.
> Limit Showers to Three Minutes: Cutting a shower from five to three minutes saves about 20 litres of water—the equivalent of a blue-gallon jug each day.
> Skip Flushes When You Can: Each skipped flush saves six litres of water. If all skip one flush a day we can save over eight million litres of water.
> Only Wash Full Loads: Dishwashers and washing machines are major water users. Ensure you’re running full loads to save water and only wash what you need to get your through the week.
