Please note the following correction regarding information we recently sent out about the Off-Leash Area along Toronto Crescent. While the area is technically below the hill, it does go right to the road at the top. This means that even dogs along the crescent can be off-leash.
This has been confirmed by City of Calgary Parks.
Also note — owners are responsible for managing their dogs whether on or off-leash. Your dog should not be running up to other people or pets. They should not be running out into the roadway. You must have your dog under control at all times.
It does not matter that you know your dog is safe. Other people (or pets) don’t. They may not be interested in interacting, nor should that be required. Maybe their pet is nervous. Maybe there is some other reason you don’t know. Kindly respect others.
