|| = || __ CELEBRATING ST PATRICK’S DAY

The St Andrews Heights 55+ Group invites you to attend their St Patrick’s Day event on (Wednesday) March 13, 10am-12pm.

The event will include coffee and goodies, with music from our very own SAH inhouse band. The band’s name seems to change. This week they’re known as The Green Team!

The band includes:
Gabrielle on penny whistle, Clarence on guitar, Paul on violin, Denis on accordion, and David on percussion.

Keep in mind, they are probably going to become superstars. This means — now is your chance to say you were a fan before they were famous!

They will play a variety of jigs, waltzes, and songs — 14 in all.

There will be song sheets (20) for the audience. There will also be a microphone and speaker (for anyone who wants to be part of the fame).

|| = || __ SIGN UP FOR SOCCER

It’s time for soccer players to signup for the 2024 season. The season starts April 15th. That’s coming up fassssst!!!

Tim Hortons is sponsoring our soccer program. This means they are providing jerseys, balls, participant medals and other items to players.

St Andrews Heights plans to run 3 different in-community leagues (assuming enough signups in each category):

  • Timbits U4 - children born in 2020 or 2021

  • Timbits U6 - children born in 2018 or 2019

  • Timbits U8 - children born in 2016 or 2017

Visit https://www.standrewsheights.ca/soccer for more information and to register!

Are you a potential coach?

We also need teenagers or university students with interest in helping to coach a team. Coaching experience is a great addition to young resumes, a way to give back to the community and an opportunity to be a positive role model. Please contact Soccer@standrewsheights.com if interested.

|| = || __ AND THE CAT CAME BACK

We recently reported on a cat that was lost and hiding out in a neighbour’s yard.

We are happy to report “Diesel” has made his way home.

If you are not already on our email list (or Facebook page), please join and encourage neighbours to join as well. It's an easy way to stay up-to-date with all that's going on in and around the 'hood.
