|| = || _ MATS TAKE A HIKE

One of our neighbours noticed that a pair of driveway curb ramps went missing from the east entrance of the shared alley on Windsor Street NW (between Toronto Crescent and 11th Ave). These mats are in place because many vehicles (especially those that ‘ride lower’) have difficulty getting over the curb.

The neighbours have reached out to the City a number of times about the horrible grade between the roadway and the alley entrance. In the meantime nearby home owners have put in place their own driveway curb ramps to prevent damage to their vehicles.

However …

the ramps went missing a few days ago. They are hoping someone needed them temporarily or had to move them for some other reason.

If you know where they are, please send a message to the newsletter. We will let the affected parties know where to collect them.

Unless there is a reasonable reason not to do so, they would like to put the ramps back in place soon.

|| = || _ PIGEON HOLE

A resident of St Andrews Heights is wondering if there has been any talk about the growing pigeon population. They are aware that we often receive advice not to feed the wildlife - but are noticing the pigeon numbers are increasing - and they can cause property damage.

If there are other residents who share this concern (or have ideas for resolving), please send your name and contact info to the eNews. We will share with the neighbour who is asking. If there is enough interest, maybe they will setup a working group to figure out longterm solutions.

Note - the City does have a
Pigeon Page — which might be a good place to start.

If you are not already on our email list, please join and encourage neighbours to join as well. It's an easy way to stay up-to-date with all that's going on in and around the 'hood.
