|| = || __ ICE MATTERS
With the power of the spring sun, it looks like the unseasonably cold weather is over. This means skating season is also over at St Andrews Heights Community rink.
We may have set a record for most skateable days in a season due to the consistent cold weather that lasted deep into March. The new shinny nets got good use as did the rink-side blue benches due to the deep snow preventing easy access to the picnic tables. It really was a winter wonderland.
The ice crew celebrated this rewarding season with a year end party at the SAHCA Hall. The crew showed their ice making talents all season — and then showed their cooking talents at the potluck supper.
Thank you ice crew for a great skating season.
