On March 1st, the province will be conducting a province-wide emergency alert test. It will take place around 1:55pm - by cell, landline, tv, radio, etc.
The alert is conducted because most of us don’t think about what we might have to do under extreme conditions - when whatever it is affects more than one person or household. For example - a tornado. An active shooter. Bombs going off.
We think we are safe and generally we are. But you never know. What would you do? Where would you go? What would you take? What if you didn’t know how long this was going to last?
A member of St Andrews Heights has expressed interest in creating an info session to help community members learn about and plan emergency preparedness. If you are interested, watch for further news coming soon.
