|| = || __ KEYS FOUND

One of our neighbours found this set of keys in early October on Toronto Cres. If they are yours, please let us know and we will unlock the door to your keys (connect you with the neighbour who found them).

HELP WANTED

The Community Association keeps a list of contacts in the neighbourhood willing to shovel snow or babysit - the kinds of things teenagers or retired people wanting a little extra cash might be interested in doing. Dog walking? House sitting? Grass cutting?

This list is in need of updating. If you or a family member would like to be included (or you have ideas for other services people might need or want), please send us a message so the name (and phone number) can be added. Whenever we get requests, we will share the list.

U OF C NEEDS YOUR INSIGHT

Are you the parent/guardian of a child who experienced a mental health concern during grade 12 or their first two years of college/university? Are you a current grade 12 student or recent grade 12 graduate who has experienced mental health concerns and is planning on going to college/university?

Are you interested in helping to improve mental health and suicide prevention services for students who are transitioning from high school to college/university?

If you said yes to any of these questions, you might be eligible to participate in a study about student mental health.

The goal of the research is to learn how mental health support and suicide prevention services at the University of Calgary can be improved for students – especially for those who are transitioning from high school to university.

Participants will NOT be expected to reveal personal details about their mental health concerns or experiences. Instead, the purpose is to generate ideas and solutions for improving university students’ wellbeing. To do this, the university is looking to hear from grade 12 students and the parents/guardians of students who are in grade 12 and college/university.

The study involves a few short, online questionnaires and a 60-minute, structured group discussion. All discussions are held virtually on Zoom. Participants’ identities and the information they provide will be kept strictly confidential and will not affect any relationship they may have with the University of Calgary.

Participants will receive a $20 e-gift card as a thank-you for taking part in the study.

If you would like more information or you are interested in participating, please send an email to mentalhealthstudy@ucalgary.ca.

The University of Calgary Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board has approved this research study (REB21-0521).

If you are not already on our email list (or Facebook page), please join and encourage neighbours to join as well. It's an easy way to stay up-to-date with all that's going on in and around the 'hood.
