Parkdale United Church Garage Sale

We have been hosting an annual spring Garage Sale at Parkdale United Church for a number of years. As with many other community events, we had to cancel the Garage Sale for the past two years. We are excited to be able to hold our Garage Sale once again and we know shoppers will be excited, too!
We are a community-minded and environmentally aware congregation. For example, if you drive up 29th Street, you will notice that we have solar panels on our roof. This is just one of many projects that we have undertaken to ensure we are a green congregation. In keeping with our concern for the wellbeing of the earth and the care for people, we consider the Garage Sale to be a service to the community. It gives people an opportunity to recycle items they no longer need and allows others to purchase essential household items at a very low cost. It is heart-warming to see shoppers of all ages find bargains that make them smile and make budgeting a little easier in hard times. The Garage Sale also provides an opportunity to make connections with other people and build community through volunteering. We welcome anyone who would like to help out during the week of the sale. Come and have some fun!
The proceeds of the Garage Sale help to support our church so we can continue to serve the surrounding communities. If you’d like to volunteer with the sale or if you have items you’d like to donate to the sale, please phone Colin at the church, 403-283-3301.
Donated items may be dropped off at the church on Sept. 20, 21 or 22 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. All are welcome to come to the Garage Sale to shop on Sat., Sept. 24th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Enjoy a tasty hot dog while you’re shopping.
